Itinerary
Day 1
Airport > Negombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and welcomed by the representatives of Magic Asia, and transferred you to Negombo, Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2
Negombo > Kandy
After breakfast head to the fish market in Negombo this morning. This can be quite an intense affair, but the variety of fish being presented by the locals is a great experience. From here, begin your journey by private vehicle to Kandy and visit a spice garden on the way.
Spice Gardens: Sri Lanka is famous for its spices and spices gardens. These spice gardens offer tourists memorable visits to various spice plantations in Sri Lanka.
On arrival to Kandy, visit to the Temple of the Tooth (Dalada Maligawa), the most important shrine in the country. It's also worth attending a cultural show while in town - the Kandyan dance performances are awesome. Overnight stay at Kandy.
Day 3
Kandy > Dambulla > Kandy
After breakfast visit the Royal Botanical Garden and Dambulla Caves Temple.
Golden Temple of Dambulla: A sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries, this cave monastery, with its five sanctuaries, is the largest, best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka. The Buddhist mural paintings (covering an area of 2,100 m2) are of particular importance, as are the 157 statues. Another interesting fact is that the Archaeologists state that this cave and other numerous caves around the main rock had been in use for dwelling in pre-historic times too from the evidence found so far.
Return to the hotel in Kandy for the overnight stay
Day 4
Kandy > Ella
After breakfast Leave to Ella by train (Approximately 6 hours), On arrival to Ella, After checking in to the hotel visit to a local tea factory and return to for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5
Ella
After breakfast leave for a half a day trek in in Ella. After the trek return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Ella: Ella is a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka governed by an Urban Council. It is approximately 200 kilometres east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1,041 metres above sea level. A beautiful countryside, with small vegetable plots in the valleys, tea plantations on the hill slopes and forests on the tops.
Day 6
Ella > Yala
After breakfast head to Yala National park where you will be camping for one night, once arrived do a Jeep safari, where you will be able to experience native wildlife such as elephants, leopards and aquatic birds. After the safari you will return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7
Yala > Galle
After breakfast leave to Unawatuna, en route do a Galle city tour. Overnight stay at Unawatuna.
Galle: A world Heritage city, Galle where you can witness colonial time ruins, Museum and famous Dutch Fort. Galle is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the southwestern tip, 119 km from Colombo. Galle is the administrative capital of Southern Province, Sri Lanka and is the district capital of Galle District.
