Itinerary

Day 1

Airport > Colombo

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and welcomed by the representatives of Magic Asia, and transferred you to Colombo. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2

Colombo > Willpattu

After breakfast head Anuradhapura, after checking in to the hotel, head to a jeep safari at Willpattu national park. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Willpattu: The sanctuary was declared as a National Park in 1938. The dry zone jungle is thickly grown. Wilpattu National Park is home for many natural lakes which dot the landscape in the Wilpattu National Park. There are approximately 30 species of mammals in the Wilpattu National Park which include the Sri Lankan Elephant, Sri Lankan Leopard, Lankan Sloth Bear, Sri, Spotted Deer, Buffalo, Sambar and Mon goose.

Day 3

Willpattu > Minneriya > Anuradhapura

After breakfast visit the Minneriya National park. In the afternoon do a sightseen of the city Anuradhapura in bicycles .Return to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Minneriya National Park: Being part of the elephant corridor which joins up with Kaudulla and Wasgomuwa parks, Minneriya National Park gives the opportunity to see herds of Elephants throughout the year. May to October is the best period to visit Minneriya National Park in view of the famous Gathering of the wild elephants. It is the largest known meeting place of Asian Elephants in the world.

Anuradhapura: Anuradhapura was the first capital of Sri Lanka established in the 4th century BC. It was the royal capital for 119 successive Singhalese Kings and lasted for about thousand five hundred years. Many historic monuments and buildings still remain The historic city of Anuradhapura is an essential stop on any tour of Sri Lanka.

Day 4

Anuradhapura > Sigiriya

After breakfast Leave to Sigiriya. In the afternoon do a tour in the Sigiriya village by a Bullock Cart. Return to for dinner and overnight stay.

Sigiriya Village: Your experience begins from the village called Ehelagala. It is adjacent to the great Sigiriya rock. You can ride the Bullock Cart in gravel path which will become dusty with red soil. You can see many animals and birds in the jungle in the distance and the seemingly endless expense of cool, cool green. Bullock cart is the first vehicle in Sri Lanka. In the past, it was once famous mode of transport of local loyalty.

Day 5

Sigiriya

After breakfast proceed to climb the Sigiriya (Lion’s Rock). Spend the afternoon free and relaxed. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Sigiriya: Built by an obsessed monarch in the 5th century, Sigiriya or Lion Rock is an astonishing feat of engineering and construction. The most striking portion of Sigiriya, a terracotta and grey core of rock set in the cultural heart of Sri Lanka. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982, Sigiriya is Asia’s best preserved city of the first millennium, showing complex urban planning around the base of the rock, combined with sophisticated engineering and irrigation skills in the palace perched on the summit. It is considered it to be one of the oldest tourist attractions in the world with visitors recording their impressions in some of the earliest-known graffiti.

Day 6

Sigiriya > Riverston

After breakfast head to Riverston, on the way you will visit the Cave Temple in Dambulla. Spend the afternoon leisurely. Overnight stay at the hotel in Riverston.

Cave Temple in Dambulla: A sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries, this cave monastery, with its five sanctuaries, is the largest, best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka. The Buddhist mural paintings (covering an area of 2,100 m2) are of particular importance, as are the 157 statues. Another interesting fact is that the Archaeologists state that this cave and other numerous caves around the main rock had been in use for dwelling in pre-historic times too from the evidence found so far.

Day 7

Riverston > Knuckles

After breakfast leave for trekking at the Knuckles Mountain Range. After a tiring day, you will return to the hotel for your night stay.

Knuckles Mountain Range: Knuckles Massif or the Knuckles Mountain Range is part of the Hill Country of Sri Lanka which is also above 3000 Ft or 915 Mts. from sea level and covers an area of about 90 Sq. Miles or 234 Sq. Km of land extent. This is also called as Knuckles Range or Knuckles Peaks or simply as Knuckles. The reason to call it Knuckles is because, there is a mountain with five peaks in itself, that looks like the knuckles of a clenched fist when seen from Kandy area (or the SW direction of that mountain named as Knuckles with a height of 6112 Feet). The Sri Lankan name for this mountainous area is " Dumbara Mitiyawatha " which means "The Misty Valley". Since this inner mountainous area is off the motoring roads, it remains as an unspoilt nature reserve even today.

Day 8

Knuckles > Nuwara Eliya

Depart to Nuwara Eliya after breakfast. will come across several waterfalls on the way. you can also visit the Pedro Tea Factory and the luscious tea plantations of the country. Overnight stay at hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 9

Nuwara Eliya > Kithulgala

The next morning you will depart for the small town of Kithulgala, en-route Kandy. In Kandy, you will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and you can get a glimpse of the city of Kandy. Overnight stay at Kithulgala.

Day 10

Kithulgala

After breakfast head to white water rafting. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

White Water Rafting: If you like water sports or you're just an adrenaline junkie, then Kitulgala is where you should go. Experience White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River in Kitulgala covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. The river and its surrounding will make you feel enchanted, with a memorable experience during your White-Water Rafting Tour in Kitulagala.

Day 12

Nuwara Eliya > Kithulgala

Depart to Ella After breakfast. Once arrived to Ella you will explore the extravagant beauty of Horton Plains and Worlds End. Overnight stay at hotel in Ella.

Horton Plains: A large plateau over 2,000m high, overlooked by the second and third highest peaks in Sri Lanka. The scenery is beautiful and the best way to explore is on foot. We trek through the rolling grasslands, seeing forest, unusual wildlife, such as the sambar deer and purple faced monkey to 'World's End', one of the most stunning sights in Sri Lanka where the ground drops 1050m to the plains (approx. 7km).

Worlds End: Located in Horton Plains National Park of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. It is a sheer cliff, with a drop of about 4,000 feet (1,200 m) It is one of the most visited parts of Horton Plains National Park, and a key tourist attraction place in Sri Lanka.

Day 12

Kithulgala > Negombo

After Breakfast leave to Negombo. Spend the rest of the evening leisurely.

Day 13

Negombo > Airport

After breakfast transfer to the Airport for the connecting flight.
