Itinerary

Day 1

Airport > Pinnawala > Kandy

Arrival at the Bandaranayaka International Airport. Ayubowan...!! (May you have a Long Life)
On arrival Transfer the clients to Kandy enroute clients will get a Jumbo Welcome to Sri Lanka at the Pinnawala Elephant orphanage.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage: just as the name suggests holds a unique disposition in the ex-situ animal care. It’s success and fame has travelled not just within the country but throughout the world to an extent where Pinnawala synonymous with the Sri Lankan Elephant. Currently being a home to 93 elephants Pinnawala at the time was a very remote area with lush coconut plantations and most importantly an area where the availability of mahouts was not lacking.

Feeding time
Visitors are completely enamored at feeding time when the baby Jumbo’s babies are bottle fed,. You can watch them feeding at 9.15 am, 1.15 and 5.00 pm.

Bath time
A major attraction is bathing and the wide river nearby enables the elephants to bathe twice daily, a regimen essential for an elephant’s hygiene, comfort and happiness. Bath times are from 10 am until 12 noon and from 2 until 4 pm.

Proceed to the hotel in Kandy. Check inn and relax. In the evening proceed to the world famous Dalada Maligawa ( Temple of the tooth Relic )

Dalada Maligawa: For Buddhists, Kandy is the sacred city. The focal point is the Dalada Maligawa also known as the temple of the tooth, where the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha is enshrined. There are many shrines and temples in and around Kandy, where you will see rare paintings, frescoes, wood and stone carvings.

After The visit to the Temple we proceed to the Cultural show.

The Cultural Show: The cultural show is famous among tourists to the hill capital, Kandy. The show is performed in the evening and runs for approximately one hour, during which the spectators are held spellbound by the colourful acts on show.

Proceed to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2

Kandy

Proceed to Kandy.

Kandy: Kandy is the charming hill capital of Sri Lanka and the island’s second largest city. Located 129 Km North-East of Colombo. Nestling midst low hills, and looped by the Mahaweli river; Kandy is the country’s religious and cultural center and a World Heritage City.

Proceed to the Botanical gardens.

Botanical Gardens: At one time these beautiful botanical gardens were reserved exclusively for Kandyan royalty. Today even commoners are allowed into what are, at 60 hectares, the largest and most impressive botanic gardens in Sri Lanka.

Lunch in one of the many restaurants in Kandy city. Afternoon the clients can visit the local market. Kandy is an exciting place for shopping with souvenirs. Mingle with the locals.
Evening at leisure at the hotel. The clients can use the many facilities of the hotel.

Day 3

Kandy > Ramboda > Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast proceed to The Misty Mountains via Ramboda falls.

Ramboda Falls: is 109 m (358 ft) high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world.

Lunch at one of the local restaurants before proceeding to Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya: This Cold city is often referred to by the Sri Lankan tourist as ‘Little England’. While most British visitors struggle to recognise modern England in Nuwara Eliya, the ambience does have an English country village feel to it. A well maintained golf course morphs seamlessly into a rolling carpet of tea plantations.

Overnight stay at one of the hotels.

Day 4

Nuwara Eliya > Colombo

After Breakfast visit a tea factory before proceeding to Colombo.

Evening city tour: Sri Lanka's capital, biggest city and major port has its supporters and detractors. We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning or afternoon. Tour will begin from the Fort area of Colombo which has been a fort during the times of Portuguese and Dutch.

Overnight stay in Cololmbo

Day 5

Colombo > Airport

Breakfast at the Hotel. After Breakfast proceed to the Airport in time for the flight back home.
