Itinerary
Day 1
Airport > Negombo
Arrival at the Bandaranayake International Airport. Clients will be transferred to historically important fishing village, Negombo from the Bandaranayake International Airport for your first night.
In the evening at leisure relaxing at the hotel or do some sightseeing in Negombo. You may visit a fish market and the Dutch canal.
Day 2
Negombo / Kandy
After breakfast proceed to Chilaw to the Muneeshwaram Temple.
Muneeshwaram Temple: Lord Rama after his victorious battle left for Ayodhaya in one of King Ravana’s vimana’s. He felt he was being followed by “Brahmahsthi Dosham” as he had killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin. He stopped the vimana at this juncture because he felt at this place, the “Brahmahsthi Dosham” was not following him. He then ascended from the vimana and asked God Shiva for a remedy. God Shiva blessed Lord Rama and advised him to install four lingam’s at Manavari, Thiru Koneshwaram, Thiru Ketheshwaram and Rameshwaram in India and pray as this is the only way to get rid of the “Brahmahsthi Dosham”.

Day 3
Kandy > Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast you will be taken to Nuwara Eliya. On the way there, visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, Ramboda. It is believed that Lord Hanuman was searching for Sita Devi from these hills in Ramboda.On these hills of Ramboda where Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi, the Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka built a temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity. On every full moon day special poojas are conducted and witnessed by thousands of devotees.
Afterwards you will be given the opportunity to visit Tea Factory and Plantation en-route where you would see where the world’s famous “Ceylon Tea” is manufactured.
Continue to Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya is set in the heart of tea-country and is a beautiful town where the British succeeded in creating a replica of the English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Well-kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican church, a famous golf course and beautiful parks give the place an air of nostalgia. Situated 6,200 feet above sea level, the air is cool and fresh – a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
In the evening visit Gayathri Amman Temple in Nuwaraeliya. is believed to be the place from where King Ravana”s son Meghanath propitiated Lord Shiva with penance and poojas and in turn was granted super natural powers by lord Shiva.

Day 4
Nuwara Eliya > Bandarawela
After breakfast set off to Bandarawela, en route, visiting Seetha Amman Temple -Seetha Eliya.
Seetha Amman Temple : There is a stream by the side of the temple. It is believed that Sita Devi bathed in this stream. It is also interesting to note that foot prints akin to Lord Hanuman’s are found on the rocks along this river and some are of small size and some are of larger size which indicates the immense power of Lord Hanuman transforming himself into any size.
Thereafter visit Isthripura.sthripura means an area of women in Singhalese. It is believed that this was one of the places to which King Ravana shifted Sita Devi as a precautionary measure after Lord Hanumans advent. It is also said that Sita Devi took a bath in the near by stream and dried her hair sitting on a rock and put clips to her hair. Hence this rock is known as Konda Kattu Gala.
Thereafter you will proceed to Divurumpola Temple.
This is the place where Sita Devi underwent the “Agni Pariksha” to prove her purity to Lord Rama after she was rescued.it is a popular place of worship among locals in this area. The Legal system permits and accepts the swearing done at this Temple while settling disputes between parties.
Proceed to Bandarawela and evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Bandarawela.
Day 5
Bandarawela > Kataragama
After Breakfast proceed to Ella to see Ravana Ella & Ravana Cave.
Ravana Cave: Ravana Ella Falls is a breathtaking waterfall, 1080 feet high (cascades into several falls). The stream, a tributary of Kirindi Oya plunges with a foaming spray over a series of ledges into the valley close to a bend in the road. The waters rise from Wewatenna highland above the rocks. In general the rocky underground of the waterfalls in Sri Lanka consists of hard gneiss or granite, but here the material is khondalite, a kind of limestone which undergoes decay faster. This has resulted in many caves being formed near the falls. King Ravana of Ramayana legend is said to have lived in one of the caves above the waterfalls. These tunnels prove beyond doubt the architectural brilliance of King Ravana. These tunnels served as quick means of transport through the hills and also a secret passage. These tunnels networked all the important cities, airports and dairy farms. A close look at the tunnels indicate that they are man-made and not natural formations.
