Itinerary
Day 1
Airport > Colombo
Arrival at the Bandaranayaka International Airport. Meet and greet by the representative of Magic Asia. Transfer to your hotel in Colombo for overnight stay.
Day 2
Colombo > Udawalawe
After breakfast proceed Udawalawe. Check in at your hotel and enjoy an afternoon Safari at Udawalawe, and the famous Transit Home Project for abandoned elephants.
The Transit Camp for Baby Elephants: The Uda Walawe Transit Centre specialises in the release of orphaned baby elephants back to the wild. Some 13 baby elephants are presently handled by this centre. You can see the highly absorbing sight of bottle-feeding of the young elephants at 12 O clock feeding time.
Walawe National Park: Uda Walawe National Park has some 500 elephants that often gather in large herds to eat ‘Mana’ grass by the edge of the large lake. Elephant watching is also helped by the fact that much of the park consists of semi-open glades and abandoned teak plantations. The scenery is very picturesque as it is framed against the backdrop of the mist laden Hill Country.
Return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
Udawalawe > Yala
After breakfast depart to yala. An afternoon safari at Yala National Park. Overnight stay at Yala.
Day 4
Yala
After Early breakfast depart to enjoy a full day safari at Yala. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5
Yala > Sigiriya
After breakfast Leave to Sigiriya. Surrounding of Sigiriya Rock Fortress is a designated forest reserve and is a very good birding destination. Sigiriya sanctuary is a well-protected area as it is a UNECO World Heritage Site, waterways and thick canopied forests make it a heaven for birds. You will be accompanied by our expert bird watching naturalist for the birding trip in Sigiriya Sanctuary in the morning.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6
Sigiriya > Anuradapura
After breakfast head to Anuradhapura for a classic sightseeing day as a break from wild life.
Anuradapura: An UNESCO site, home to temples and a sacred tree. It's said to be the oldest recorded tree in the word.
