Day 1

Airport > Mount Lavinia

On arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by our Magic Asia representative and transfer to your hotel in Mount Lavinia for overnight stay.

Day 2

Mount Lavinia > Nuwara Eliya

Drive to Nuwara Eliya After breakfast, stopping for lunch at Kitulgala where the film The Bridge Over the River Kwai was filmed. In the afternoon join a tour of the city of Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya: Set in a mountain valley some 1800 metres above sea level, it is surrounded by rolling hills covered in vast tea plantations Approx. journey time 4½ hours, 124 miles.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Nuwara Eliya > Yala

After an early departure, you’ll arrive at Horton Plains National Park

Horton Plains: The plains are characterised by rolling hills, forest and grasslands and are undoubtedly one of Sri Lanka’s best eco-tourism venues and nature reserves. It is home to an array of wildlife and is ideal for bird watchers with over 87 species, 14 of which are endemic. A three-hour trek over relatively challenging terrain takes you to the renowned World’s End precipice where you can enjoy incredible views over the surrounding countryside.

Then continue your journey south to Yala National Park to Get a close to the wildlife as well as the beach. Overnight stay at a hotel in Yala.

Day 4


After Early breakfast depart to enjoy a full day safari at Yala.

Yala: The park boasts the highest density of leopards not only in Sri Lanka but in the whole world, which is why it is commonly considered to be the best place to film and photograph these elusive beasts. The park also boasts a stunning array of other creatures, from Sloth Bears, Golden Palm Civet cats and Wild Water Buffalo to Hornbills, Black-capped Bulbuls and peacocks.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5

Yala > Udawalawe

After breakfast Leave to Udawalawe, In the afternoon visit the Elephant transit home.

Elephant Transit Home: The transit home was established by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation in 1995 as a rehabilitation centre and here you’ll find a number of orphaned elephants being cared for before being released into the wild. Although you won’t get to interact with the elephants, this half-hour visit is a great opportunity to see the animals and discover the important and tireless work that’s done to get them back into the wild

Check in to the hotel in Udawalawe for overnight stay.

Day 6

Udawalawe > Sinharaja

Depart to udawalawe national park before breakfast for an early morning safari. This afternoon you will be transferred to Deniyaya and in the afternoon. enjoy your first trek into the Sinharaja rainforest.

Udawalawe National Park: Lightly vegetated, the park is one of the best places in Sri Lanka to spot a variety of wildlife species including buffalo, elephants, and occasionally a leopard or two.

Sinharaja Rainforest: The only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, the Sinharaja rainforest offers guests the chance to walk amongst beautiful flora and fauna.

Return to the hotel in Deniyaya for the overnight stay.

Day 7

Deniyaya > Tangalle

Depart to Tangalle After breakfast. In the afternoon Visit the turtle hatchery. return to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 8

Tangalle > Mirissa > Galle

After early breakfast proceed to an unforgettable whale-watching excursion in Mirissa.

Whale Watching: The blue whales – the earth’s largest creatures – are the real draw off the part of this Sri Lanka coast, however you may also be lucky enough to spot orca, humpback whales, turtles and dolphins.

After whale watching proceed to Galle. Overnight stay in Galle.

Day 9

Galle > Mount Lavinia

Proceed to a Mount Lavinia after breakfast following a Galle city tour. Overnight stay in Mount Lavinia.

Day 10

Mount Lavinia

Relax after your tour with a short beach stay on one of Sri Lanka’s beautiful golden beaches.

Day 11

Mount Lavinia > Colombo

After Breakfast depart to Airport to the connecting flight
